We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of a Lead Electrician in Florida. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal, efficient installation of the fleet of Budderfly electrical components. The components include: HVAC installation related electrical work (high and low-voltage), LED lighting, power metering, networking kits, and other upgrades.

Why this Role is Important:

Budderfly installs a variety of advanced technologies to save energy at our customers’ sites. Ensuring that these technologies are installed according to code, efficiently, and without issue is vital to the success of the organization. This role is for a key player among the impactful team which is tasked with ensuring that these technologies are installed with the utmost quality while ensuring optimal customer satisfaction. They will do this by completing on-site electrical installation, service, and maintenance work as a part of our Energy Force team. The successful candidate will have a background in hands-on installation functions within the Commercial Electrical Contracting field.

Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities:Conducting detailed site assessments to estimate the requirements for electrical upgrades for HVAC equipment installations and other energy savings technologies such as LED lighting and metering.
    • Examples include surveying existing breaker and wire size versus those necessary with high-efficiency HVAC unit replacements, CT and other power metering devices to measure all electrical usage on-site, and LED Lighting retrofits
  • Perform required electrical work for the installation of HVAC equipment (roof top units, split systems, etc.)
  • Installation of metering equipment on commercial panels, to monitor kw/h usage on select equipment within the commercial setting.
  • Utilize Budderfly work order and survey tools (training to be provided)

Service Calls:

  • Ability to diagnose and repair (service call) electrical related issues with Budderfly technology.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all installations and service calls are compliant with local Code, meet industry standards, company quality guidelines, as well as being performed in a neat and workman like manner minimizing impact on customer operations.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (estimated) to various job sites across the region to complete Energy Force Technology installations within the Southeastern United States (ie. MS, GA, AL. LA, NC, SC)
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service through phone, email, and chat
  • Ensure utmost customer satisfaction (internal and external to Budderfly) throughout the Budderfly and Energy Force work order systems
  • Works to improve customer satisfaction throughout the Energy Force installation and service process

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Holds a Universal Electrical Contractors License in the state of Florida (issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s (DBPR) Electrical Contractors Licensing Board)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial electrical installations, services, and management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation techniques, and relevant regulations.
  • High level electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations, protocols, as well as local and national Codes and regulations in the electrical industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in customer phone service
  • Able to work as a team player and independently
  • Creative problem solver with ability to multi-task
  • Passion for energy savings
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Enjoys continuous learning, as supported by your organization, both technically and professionally
  • Work across / with organization Teams.

Compensation
$26—$46 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
