• Job alert preferences — role, location, and job type filters you set
• Application materials — resume and cover note if you apply via Easy Apply

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the Service — display relevant jobs, power search and filters
• Send job alerts — email notifications based on your saved preferences
• Account management — authenticate your identity and maintain your profile
• Process payments — handle sponsored listing transactions via Stripe
• Communicate with you — respond to support inquiries
• Detect abuse — identify and prevent fraudulent or malicious activity
• Analytics — understand how the Service is used to improve it

We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising and we do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — we use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Sanity (content management). These providers access data only to perform services on our behalf.
• Employers (Easy Apply) — if you apply to a job via Easy Apply, your application materials are shared with the relevant employer.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of RemoteAtlas or others.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in to your account (authentication session cookies)
• Remember your preferences and saved filters
• Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features, including staying signed in.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Job alert emails include an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time to stop receiving alerts without deleting your account.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Request a portable copy of your data

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RemoteAtlas is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. The updated policy will include a revised effective date.
