The Role

Pantheon is seeking a high-intensity, results-driven Senior Interim Manager to lead our 10-person Business Development team. While internal teams handle account strategy and pipeline generation tactics, your mission is to ensure the BDR engine runs at peak performance. You will be responsible for driving the team to reach 80% of targets through rigorous coaching, territory management, and proactive performance accountability.

This is a pivotal leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the North American team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) supporting multiple segments and regions across the business.
  • Maintain scalable onboarding, enablement, and career development programs for the Business Development team.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. You will monitor daily and weekly KPIs, identifying underperformers early and executing performance management to maintain team standards.  
  • Mentor and develop a team of 10 BDRs. Leverage data-driven insights and tools like Gong/Salesforce to improve coaching effectiveness, activity levels, and conversion metrics.  
  • Drive the team to achieve monthly and quarterly pipeline and meeting targets. Your success is measured by getting the entire roster to 80%+ per rep attainment.  
  • Manage territory assignments and forecast team capacity to ensure appropriate support for business priorities and pipeline goals.  
  • Plan for personnel shifts and manage headcount transitions to ensure the team remains high-achieving throughout the contract duration.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to execute provided demand generation initiatives and integrated campaigns. You will ensure the BDR team executes the internal strategy with 100% discipline. 

Qualifications

  • Senior Manager level or above with 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the SaaS industry.  
  • Proven experience in managing performance-based attrition, headcount planning, and conducting "hard" performance conversations.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of pipeline, territory management, and revenue performance metrics.  
  • High proficiency with Salesforce and related reporting/analytics tools. Deep familiarity with sales engagement technologies and prospecting tools.  
  • Exceptional coaching and team development skills with the ability to move reps from average to high-performing status.  
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities to work seamlessly with the internal strategy teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with Marketing organizations to support integrated campaigns and pipeline growth initiatives.

Compensation:

US: $49.52-61.90 per hour
Canada: $39.62 - 49.52 per hour
