THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Manager Software Engineer in our Partner Content team in Portugal! This is a Remote – Portugal position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Portugal. 

The Partner Content team in Product & Technology plays a crucial role in shaping subscriber experiences with partners. The team owns the end-to-end journey of partner information, from the initial upload in the Partners Portal to its presentation in the Wellhub app, impacting millions of users daily. This includes building, updating, and maintaining a comprehensive range of partner details, such as logos, company information, contact details, and activities.  Essentially, the team ensures that subscribers have access to accurate and engaging partner content, exceeding their expectations and enhancing their overall experience.

 

YOUR IMPACT

  • You will lead a talented, agile full-stack engineering team, using cutting-edge technologies to solve edge cases on a global scale;
  • Provide technical guidance and career mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and high performance;
  • Establish and enforce "gold standards" for development, testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure our systems remain stable and maintainable;
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Design leads to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical roadmaps;
  • Develop, deliver, test, deploy, maintain, and improve solutions working with a cross-functional team;
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems;
  • Work in a collaborative and agile environment that prioritizes people over process and is laser-focused on productivity;

WHO YOU ARE

  • You’re an engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience;
  • You have proven experience as a Tech Lead, with at least 2 years in a formal or informal leadership/management capacity;
  • Skilled in architecting modern web and mobile applications and working with cloud-based architectures;
  • You're proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python, with familiarity in Golang being a valuable plus;
  • You have a solid understanding of developing RESTful web services, collaborating with front-end teams to define APIs, create mocks, and follow HTTP best practices;
  • You apply computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis, to your daily work;
  • You have hands-on experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis and understand their common use cases;
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical roadmaps into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders;
  • You have professional working proficiency in English and can articulate ideas clearly in technical discussions.
