Federato is the only AI-native platform that spans the full policy lifecycle and changes the way insurance work gets done. Better decisioning is built-in, not bolted on: insurers' unique portfolio goals, strategies, rules, and appetite are part of the workflow so underwriters win the right deals, faster. From the moment a submission hits an underwriter’s inbox, AI is put to work, triaging submissions with a focus on high-appetite business, delivering real-time feedback on the portfolio, and consolidating workflows into a single proven system. What You'll Be Doing:
- Help define and evolve the operational direction of our implementation model as product and customer patterns evolve.
- Serve as an escalation and resolution point for your leaders and book of business.
- Directly manage Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and Technical Program Managers (TPMs), coaching performance, delegation, and conflict resolution while developing the next generation of delivery leadership.
- Ensure clarity of ownership across pods, strengthen onboarding and enablement for FDE leaders, and create structure that enables managers and engineers to operate independently.
- Build for current and future state profiles, partnering on headcount planning and resourcing tradeoffs while balancing customer commitments with sustainable capacity.
- Tie delivery performance to utilization and renewal readiness, using data to inform tradeoffs and improve decision quality.
- Act as connective tissue across GTM, Product, and Engineering, translating field patterns into actionable insights, and aligning delivery narratives with executive stakeholders.
Who We Hope You Are:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience. You should be able to hold your own in a deep-dive technical design session regarding SaaS architecture, APIs, and data models.
- 6+ years of professional experience, with at least 1–2 years in a formal leadership or "player-coach" capacity within a SaaS delivery or FDE environment.
- Familiarity with the complexities of B2B SaaS implementations. Experience in fintech, insurance, or underwriting software is a significant plus, given the high stakes of data accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead high-stakes customer calls and set the tone in the room. You can translate complex technical risks into clear business outcomes for both internal and external executives.
- Comfortable with SQL and Javascript (as utilized in our implementation layer) to audit team output and shadow the FDEs as needed
- You don’t just identify blockers; you navigate around them. You have a track record of establishing strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams (Sales, CS, Product, and Core Eng).
$200,000 - $230,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package does include stock options, benefits and additional perks.
