Job Description
We’re hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to join our growing lifecycle team to help design, build, and optimize lifecycle messaging programs across the customer journey.
This role translates lifecycle opportunities into scalable campaigns, behavior-triggered messaging, and structured experiments that improve activation, engagement, retention, and expansion. You’ll work closely with product, design, copy, data, and marketing partners to launch messaging that helps customers succeed with doola.
This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable building campaigns inside lifecycle platforms and owning execution from concept through launch and iteration.
Key Responsibilities
Own lifecycle campaigns from concept through development, QA, deployment, and optimization
Build lifecycle campaigns directly inside Customer.io, including segmentation logic, triggered workflows, email template configuration, and campaign QA
Identify lifecycle messaging opportunities across the customer journey
Design and execute behavior-triggered lifecycle messaging programs
Partner closely with the lifecycle copywriter and design team to develop clear, effective messaging
Run structured lifecycle experiments to improve activation and engagement performance
Analyze campaign results and translate insights into follow-up improvements
Audit lifecycle coverage and propose new campaigns that support growth objectives
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, data, and support teams to support messaging tied to customer milestones and feature adoption
Skills and Qualifications
4–6 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, or customer marketing
Experience owning lifecycle campaigns end-to-end from planning through optimization
Hands-on experience building campaigns in lifecycle platforms such as Customer.io, Braze, or Iterable
Experience building lifecycle emails inside platforms like Customer.io, including working with templates, dynamic content, and basic HTML or Liquid personalization
Experience implementing lifecycle experiments or A/B tests and applying results to improve performance
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle stages and behavior-based messaging strategies
Experience partnering with copywriters and designers to launch campaigns efficiently
Strong execution discipline and attention to detail when building and QAing campaigns
Ability to identify opportunities independently and move ideas into execution
Bonus Qualifications
Experience working in SaaS or SMB-focused products
Experience supporting lifecycle messaging across multiple channels such as SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app messaging
Experience working in fast-moving startup or high-growth environments
Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Stripe, Enterpret, ReferralHero, Notion, or Figma
Experience collaborating closely with product teams on lifecycle messaging tied to feature adoption
