Who You Are?
You are a high-agency operator and business builder who uses AI as a core tool — not a novelty — to solve complex, ambiguous problems and turn them into action faster than anyone expects.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting to the COO. You will operate at the center of the business, tackling critical operational challenges, driving strategic initiatives, and helping scale Deel globally. You don't wait for an engineering ticket to fix something broken — you build the solution yourself, and increasingly, you build it with AI.
You move quickly, prioritize effectively, and are comfortable owning problems end-to-end, from defining the problem to shipping the solution.
Responsibilities
Partner directly with the COO on high-priority operational and strategic initiatives
Drive execution of Deel's global expansion across operations, products, and new markets
Own end-to-end delivery of critical projects — from opportunity identification to execution
Break complex problems into clear, actionable workstreams
Generate data-driven insights through analysis of large datasets
Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform business decisions
Design and implement scalable operational processes
Support strategic planning, goal setting, and performance management
Build internal tools, workflows, and AI-powered systems that create step-change operational leverage — not incremental improvement
Use AI to do things that previously required a team — automating analysis, accelerating research, generating first drafts, building prototypes
Navigate open-ended problems with speed, structure, and strong judgment
Requirements
5–10 years of experience in product, operations, revenue ops, or consulting
2–4 years of previous experience in a fast-growth startup
Strong analytical foundation with the ability to manipulate and synthesize data
Demonstrated experience building with AI tools (LLM APIs, agents, AI-native workflows, or similar) — not just using them as a productivity shortcut
Proficiency in data analysis and workflow automation
Strong track record of quantifiable business impact
Can break complex problems into smaller, actionable solution steps
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Bonus Points
You've shipped something with AI that replaced a manual process or created genuine leverage
You've built using low-code / no-code platforms or LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
You're genuinely excited about what AI makes possible — and slightly impatient about how slowly most people are moving on it
You have advanced working knowledge of SQL
You have experience building consumer or business-facing products where you've had to think about customer experience and growth
You have worked across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones
You are passionate about the future of work
You like getting bonus points :)
