Founding Chief Medical Officer, Anomaly Health

Summary

Forum Ventures is hiring a Founding Chief Medical Officer, Anomaly Health to join their Management team. Most people are now drowning in health data and starving for direction. Key skills: Go, AI.

About the role

Most people are now drowning in health data and starving for direction. A blood panel here, a DEXA there, a wearable buzzing with alerts - fragments scattered across a dozen apps, each owned by someone trying to sell you narrow health as the next diagnostic test or wearable.

Anomaly is your personal health intelligence. We're independent, and we sit above all of it: fusing every signal - labs, imaging, wearables, genome, history - into one clear picture, paired with a dedicated physician accountable for where your health is headed, and where to intervene, not just the moment something goes wrong. The product isn't more data or a faster doctor. It's better decisions, made consistently, over years. We own the months between episodic care: the trajectory, the relationship, the decisions that mean fewer things go wrong in the first place.

The Team

Ramin Sahebjavaher, PhD is the founder and CEO of Anomaly Health. As founding team at Prenuvo, he led the development of groundbreaking AI technology and software that was instrumental in expanding imaging clinics across the US. His academic work pioneering cancer imaging techniques has been adopted by research institutions worldwide. Anomaly is the next chapter: moving further upstream to build the intelligence layer that makes proactive health actually work.

Anomaly is co-building with Forum Ventures — the leading early-stage fund and venture studio for B2B startups, with teams in New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and remote. Forum has backed 450+ companies that have gone on to raise $1B in follow-on funding.

The Role

As Founding CMO, you will set the clinical standard for everything we do - from protocol development and lab interpretation to patient safety, regulatory posture, and physician oversight of AI-driven outputs - and you'll help build the business itself. This is a dual mandate: own clinical quality and credibility, and act as a commercial force multiplier, shaping growth strategy, partnerships, and the company's external voice.

You'll work directly with the CEO and product team to translate cutting-edge longevity and functional health science into scalable, defensible clinical workflows - and to turn that clinical edge into a durable commercial advantage.

This role is for a physician who thinks like a builder and an operator. Excited about what AI can do for medicine, deeply skeptical of hype, relentless about getting the evidence right, and energized by the work of growing a company.

What You'll Do

Clinical leadership

  • Co-develop and own our clinical protocol framework - biomarker panels, care pathways, and optimization areas (you'll shape this from the ground up)

  • Conduct member-facing clinical sessions - consultations, results reviews, and ongoing optimization check-ins

  • Review and sign off on AI-generated health reports, maintaining final clinical accountability for all member-facing content

  • Build and enforce clinical safety, consent, and escalation frameworks

  • Serve as medical reviewer for edge cases, abnormal findings, and high-risk members

  • Hire and manage contracted physicians and NPs as the clinical team scales

Business development & growth

  • Partner with the CEO on commercial strategy - pricing, packaging, and how we position clinical quality as a market differentiator

  • Source and structure partnerships across the ecosystem: labs, imaging providers, diagnostics, employers, and channel partners

  • Serve as a credible clinical voice in fundraising, investor conversations, and key account discussions

  • Represent Anomaly externally - speaking, content, and presence within the longevity and preventive care communities - to drive awareness and demand

  • Build and activate a referral and clinical network that fuels member growth

  • Contribute to product strategy at the intersection of clinical evidence, commercial viability, and member experience

What We're Looking For

  • MD license

  • License in NY, NJ, CT, and CA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience providing primary care with recent delivery in telemedicine

  • Deep fluency in longevity biomarkers: advanced lipids, metabolomics, hormonal panels, inflammatory markers, CGM, and genomics

  • Prior experience in a startup, digital health company, or concierge/direct-care practice

  • Demonstrated business or commercial instinct - you've helped build a practice, line of business, or company, not just delivered care within one

  • Comfort with AI-assisted clinical tools and a clear-eyed view of their limitations

  • Entrepreneurial mindset - you see gaps and build systems to fill them

Nice to Have

  • IFM, ABAARM, or equivalent longevity/functional medicine certification

  • Prior experience structuring telemedicine consent or async care models

  • Network within the longevity medicine or preventive care communities

What We Offer

  • Founding equity and a front row seat to building a world-class startup founder and team

  • Flexible engagement structured around your existing commitments that can scale as we build conviction in doing this together

  • Fully remote/virtual

  • Ownership in shaping a great experience, product, and business
