Summary 

The Clinical Analyst II (AMBGG/CCMG certified) serves as a key contributor to the interpretation of genetic findings and supports accurate diagnosis and case resolution through exome and genome sequencing workflows. This mid-level role builds on foundational clinical analysis competencies by performing independent case reviews with minimal supervision. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently perform clinical data analysis and case management to support the accurate interpretation of genetic findings, including reanalysis. 
  • Establish phenotype-genotype correlations across a wide range of genetic disorders using internal resources and professional tools. 
  • Investigates and interprets complex clinical features of genetic conditions; documents evidence and rationale for variant classification in a clear, standardized format. 
  • Meets or exceeds productivity and error standards as assigned by the team lead. 
  • Perform clinical analysis at a moderate case rate. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to advance team objectives. 

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • PhD in Biology, Genetics, or related field, MD or DO with more than 2 years of directly relevant experience in clinical diagnostics (including fellowship) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including the ability to maintain high proficiency with internal systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Office 365 environment 
  • At least one year of independent clinical analysis experience 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • ABMGG or CCMG certification required

Compensation: Salary is dependent upon country, experience, and credentials.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.

Physical Demands

This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include:

  • Sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers for typing and mouse operation
  • Visual acuity for reading computer screens and documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone and video calls
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds (office supplies, equipment)

Resumo 

O Clinical Analyst II (certificado pela ABMGG/CCMG) atua como colaborador-chave na interpretação de achados genéticos e apoia o diagnóstico preciso e a resolução de casos por meio de fluxos de trabalho de sequenciamento de exoma e genoma. Esta função de nível intermediário se baseia em competências fundamentais de análise clínica, realizando revisões independentes de casos com supervisão mínima. 

Responsabilidades do cargo 

  • Realizar de forma independente análise de dados clínicos e gestão de casos para apoiar a interpretação precisa de achados genéticos, incluindo atividades de reanálise. 
  • Estabelecer correlações fenótipo-genótipo em uma ampla variedade de distúrbios genéticos utilizando recursos internos e ferramentas profissionais. 
  • Investigar e interpretar características clínicas complexas de condições genéticas; documentar evidências e justificativas para classificação de variantes em formato claro e padronizado. 
  • Cumprir ou superar os padrões de produtividade e erro atribuídos pelo líder da equipe. 
  • Realizar análise clínica em uma taxa moderada de casos. 
  • Executar outras tarefas atribuídas para promover os objetivos da equipe. 

Educação, experiência e habilidades 

  • Doutorado em Biologia, Genética ou área relacionada, ou título de MD ou DO com mais de 2 anos de experiência diretamente relevante em diagnóstico clínico (incluindo fellowship). 
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicação verbal e escrita em inglês. 
  • Habilidades demonstradas em informática, incluindo capacidade de manter alta proficiência com sistemas internos, Microsoft Office Suite e o ambiente Office 365. 
  • Pelo menos um ano de experiência independente em análise clínica. 

Certificados, licenças e registros 

  • Certificação ABMGG ou CCMG obrigatória.

Ambiente de trabalho
