Summary

Natera is hiring a Bus Ops Trainer I to join their remote team. Training will include new hire training, cross-training into new products/functions, and refresher training to help address areas that require further focus.

About the role

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Operations Trainer will design training programs for new hires and existing team members. Training will include new hire training, cross-training into new products/functions, and refresher training to help address areas that require further focus. 

The trainer is responsible for developing the training material, facilitating the training, conducting readiness assessments, and coordinating with the Operations team on general trainee readiness and additional training needs. 

To be successful as a trainer, one must be observant and have excellent analytical skills. The trainer will use innovative and alternative teaching methods to ensure engagement across trainees and help prepare agents for new roles and responsibilities. 

 

The focus of this role will initially be on data entry and reporting functions and will be utilized across business units.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new or update existing training material to meet new hire and continuous training needs and to meet overall training objectives for the team. This includes training content, job aids, team intranet / resource sites.
  • Utilize different tools to deliver training, including google suite, elearning platforms such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, videos, and engagement tools to keep training engaging and impactful.
  • Facilitate training on functional content for both new hire training and skills enhancement training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and share feedback during and post training to identify improvements to training curriculum / structure.
  • The trainer may train on multiple products and functions as needed.
  • Maintain an active list of training delivered and track any training needs by team and individual.
  • Partner with team Management and Leadership to assess team member productivity, quality, and accuracy and conduct 1x1 coaching sessions as appropriate.
  • Ensure proficiency in function processes and keep up to date on any changes due to process changes, system updates, and product launches.
  • This role will work with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and will have access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and Security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • BS/BA degree in biology or health science or equivalent years experience.  
  • At least 0-2 years of related industry and functional experience strongly preferred (e.g., in Customer Experience, Clinical Data Reporting or Clinical Data Entry for a biotech). 1 year of experience in functional leadership (e.g., Lead in related functional areas) and/or training preferred. 
  • At least 2 years experience designing and delivering training programs in a live or virtual setting.

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • High-level computer and technical skills.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and products in a rapidly evolving environment.
